IT Project Manager, IT Consultant
As an IT Leader, you’ll inspire and lead a high-performing regional or global technical team driving innovation and operational excellence. You’ll play a pivotal role in delivering impactful projects and exceptional support services while shaping strategy and elevating customer experience.
What You’ll Do:- Perform managerial activities such as hiring, performance management, associate development, department staffing, budgeting, and communicating and enforcing policies and procedures.
- Determine the specific resources and skills required for ongoing activities and provide leadership to staff all projects within your area of responsibility.
- Provide coaching to encourage career development, growth, and success for direct reports.
- Maintain an aggregate view of customer demand for IT support versus IT resource capacity. Evaluate resource availability and assign work based on priority and skill set. Assign production support (steady-state maintenance) tasks to application development resources.
- Design and use management reports to maximize IT resource utilization, and manage the review, selection, and implementation of relevant resource planning tools.
- Provide architectural recommendations, research, and proactively recommend tools, resources, and new technologies to meet operational requirements and customer needs. Work collaboratively and act as a trusted technology advisor for business leaders of the function.
- Plan, coordinate, and schedule assignments and projects with subordinates, and participate in establishing tactical plans on a global level.
- Bachelor’s degree in CS, MIS, Engineering or related discipline.
- 10+ years of technical experience in a variety of IT disciplines gaining a conceptual knowledge of information technologies and methodologies, including successfully developing and implementing applications and/or infrastructure systems using new and emerging technologies.
- Demonstrated competency in the execution of multiple projects, including managing resources across multiple projects to meet goals.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of IT, with expertise in multiple specialty areas.
- Strong understanding of management principles and leadership best practices.
- Recognized technical expert in one or more IT disciplines, including networks, communications, hardware/software, web tools, enterprise systems, and emerging technologies.
- Proven leadership skills, including team building, motivation, delegation, and the ability to inspire and guide others.
- Experience in evaluating, recognizing, and leading organizational change initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to drive effective decision-making.
