Position: Performance Improvement Coordinator

Overview

The Performance Improvement Coordinator is responsible for driving initiatives that enhance clinical quality, operational efficiency, and financial sustainability within Population Health (Akron Children's Health Collaborative) and Akron Children's Pediatrics, Primary Care settings. This role serves as a liaison between Population Health and ACP ensuring alignment and focus on payor metrics, data analysis, and process optimization to support value-based care outcomes.

Full-time, 40 hours per week. M-F Days, 8:30AM-4:30PM. Hybrid - Akron, OH.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze payor metrics and reimbursement trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with administrative, clinical, and quality teams to ensure accurate documentation and compliance with payor requirements.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve clinical quality and operational performance in alignment with organizational goals and best practices.
  • Monitor and report on performance indicators, facilitating data-driven decision-making.
  • Support change management initiatives to optimize workflows and enhance patient care delivery.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and promote quality improvement across all processes.
Other Information
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data interpretation and performance tracking.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and clinical documentation standards.
  • Understanding of payor requirements, pediatric ACO quality measures, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong project management skills, including process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma preferred).
Education And Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Nursing, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 3 years of experience in healthcare quality improvement, population health, or value-based care programs.
  • Experience working with pediatric populations and/or ACO performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to lead process improvement initiatives and manage change in a dynamic environment.
