Counselor (Outpatient) – CHC Addiction Services, Akron, Ohio

CHC Addiction Services is a non‑profit agency dedicated to treating, inspiring, supporting, and empowering individuals and families affected by addiction. Since 1974, CHC has been a cornerstone of Ohio’s effort to prevent and treat substance use disorders.

We seek qualified counselors to join our Outpatient team and provide individual and group counseling to patients and their families.

• Full‑time, 40 hours per week (typically Monday‑Friday; weekends/evenings possible, start as early as 5:30 am)

• Interview patients and conduct assessments
• Summarize and evaluate problem areas and strengths
• Develop and facilitate a comprehensive treatment plan
• Complete case‑management documentation per agency procedures
• Provide individual, group, and/or family counseling sessions
• Participate in weekly clinical supervision and present cases
• Seek additional professional consultation as needed

• Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or related field
• Active Ohio license (LPC, LPCC, LSW, LISW, LCDC III, or LICDC)
• At least one year of clinical experience with patients having substance use disorders (preferred)
