Chaplain

Summary

The Staff Chaplain provides spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, and staff of varying faith traditions and no faith.

• Provides spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, and staff of varying faith traditions and no faith.
• Develops and leads inter‑faith prayer and worship opportunities, memorial services, and rituals as deemed appropriate.
• Provides spiritual assessment and care plan which addresses age‑appropriate and developmentally specific needs as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
• Provides education to identified audiences related to the spiritual needs of children and their families.
• Participates in committees as assigned and may conduct research into the spiritual care of the sick.
• Maintains professional integrity.
• Other duties as required.

• Experience in provision of spiritual care for all age groups is required.
• Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
• Experience in healthcare is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software is required.

• Education:
  
  Master of Divinity degree or related field is required. 4 units of clinical pastoral education is required with at least 2 units in a pediatric setting is preferred.
• Certification:
  Association of Professional Chaplains, National Association of Catholic Chaplains, National Association of Jewish Chaplains, or other National Chaplaincy certifying body is required within two years of hire.
• Years of relevant experience: 0 to 2 years is preferred.
• Years of experience supervising:
  None.

Full time (40 hours per week). M‑F days with occasional evenings and weekends as needed. Onsite for Chaplaincy Services.
