Job Summary

Position: Behavioral Health Technician I

Hours: Full-time, 40 Hours per week
Schedule: Mon/Wed/Thurs 10am-6:30pm, Tues/Fri 8am-4:30pm
Department: Partial Hospitalization Program

The Behavioral Health Technician I, under the direction and delegation of a Mental Health Therapist, supports and assists in the care and treatment of children and adolescents, ages 12-18, admitted to the inpatient behavioral health unit.

• Support the milieu of the environment, maintain safety, and support the implementation of ISP individualized plan of care.
• Provide supportive care and engagement according to Hospital Policy and procedure as delegated and in a team with Mental Health Therapists.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs of the patients served regardless of age.
• Other duties as required.

• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in computerized documentation preferred.
• Experience in healthcare preferred.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; enrollment or degree in counseling, psychology, social work, a related field, or nursing preferred.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association required.
• 0 to 2 years of experience.
