This is an open position with First Energy Service Company, a subsidiary of First Energy Corp.

The financial reporting analyst will work within the financial reporting team and with various other departmentstoensure accuratefinancialreportingthroughouttheorganization. The Financial reporting team is responsible for internal financial reporting, subsidiary reporting, SEC reporting and other regulatory reporting.

The financial reporting team is a valued business partner providing information, analysis and advice to ad hoc initiatives.

• Participatinginthepreparationanddistributionofmonthlyinternal financial statements
• Participatinginpreparationandanalysisofcash flow
• Participatinginthepreparation,documentationandanalysisofthe

  SECand regulatory reporting and disclosures.
• Providingsupportandassistancetoexternalauditors
• Assistingwiththedevelopmentofwrittenpolicies andproceduresoverthefinancial reporting process
• Assistingwithdevelopmentandmaintenanceoftheintegrity ofthefinancialreportingprocess and internal controls over financial reporting
• Participatinginevaluationandimplementationofnewaccountingstandardsandfinancial reporting requirements
• Providingfinancialanalysis tomanagementforvariousadhocprojects
• Interfacingwithandsupportvarious departmentswithintheorganization(legal, investor relations, treasury, etc.)
• Participatinginvarious educationalopportunitiesandattendvarious conferencestomaintain knowledge of financial reporting requirements

• Bachelor'sDegreein Accountingor Finance required . Advanceddegreeor
  
  CPApreferred.
• Minimum4-7 yearsrelevantworkexperienceis preferred but not required.
  
  Relevant workexperiencewillinclude experience within public accounting or financial reporting in a corporate setting.
• Strong technical
  
  USGAAPandSECreporting knowledge preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications(Word, Excel,PowerPoint)
• SAPknowledgepreferred
• Excellentwrittenandoralcommunicationskills
