Financial Manager
The Manager of Financial Information leads financial planning, forecasting, and analysis for plant operations and strategic initiatives, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all financial data within the planning environment. This role supports the business unit finance manager while guiding factory variance forecasting and partnering with Supply Chain to maintain up‑to‑date production and financial inputs for decision‑making. As an integrated member of the operations team, the manager collaborates cross‑functionally with manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, and other key groups to drive operational excellence.
The position promotes aligned communication, supports performance improvement initiatives, and helps enable profitable, strategically aligned business decisions.
- A member of the NA Manufacturing Finance team, the group responsible for all financial activities of the NA Manufacturing including Plant operations support, Global Operations support, business unit support. The Manager of Financial Information has responsibility for process support for all financial planning, forecasting, reporting & analysis including NA requirements & Global Manufacturing requirements as it relates to Hyperion Planner.
- Lead the development of tools & processes for the collection & analysis for AOP, monthly forecasting, monthly reviews & special studies. Work with Finance Business Partners and plant FP&A Managers to assure proper tools are in place that provide linkage between Manufacturing Finance, Manufacturing Operations & business unit priorities in terms of financial needs.
- Present information related to strategic projects as well as Hyperion/system related activities to manufacturing finance leadership & the manufacturing operations team. Financial presentations should include a clear interpretation of the data, good insights & action plans to mitigate issues when appropriate.
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting/finance.
- 3 years of management experience strongly preferred.
- Experience in supporting & realizing results from activities such as Lean, six sigma & quality.
- Cost accounting & inventory management experience.
- 7 years of accounting/analysis experience in manufacturing cost environment.
- Demonstrated coaching, interpersonal & communication skills.
- Strong Microsoft Excel, work skills required.
- CPA &/or CMA.
- Knowledge of Access a plus.
- Effective leadership & ability to influence others.
- Ability to communicate or present information, both verbally & written to varying levels of the organization.
- Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) & Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Knowledge of SAP & Essbase a plus.
