Position: Substation Design Engineer

The Substation Design Engineer will be self-directed with an interest and / or ability to create and manage engineering designs, equipment and standards for the Substation Engineering group within First Energy. The role involves working with a staff of engineers, survey crews, drafters/layouts, and external partners on a wide range of engineering design tasks from project estimation through construction and record updates.

The engineer will report on design-project progress, proactively advise on issues, and provide technical support to Substation and Transmission personnel, Real Estate, Project Management and Construction crews to ensure safety, accuracy, budget alignment and in-service dates.
