Entry Level Civil Engineer – Water/Wastewater

CTI is seeking an entry‑level civil engineer for our expanding Akron, Ohio office. This position is ideal for a new graduate who has successfully passed the FE exam and is interested in beginning their career in water and wastewater treatment engineering. Headquartered in Chattanooga, Tennessee, CTI Engineers, Inc. is an employee‑owned consulting firm with a 50‑person staff, specializing in water, wastewater, site development, solid waste, and environmental engineering.

The primary focus is municipal infrastructure.

• Prepare basic engineering designs and reports under the supervision of a project engineer.
• Gather and manipulate data of an engineering nature. Prepare summary tables and figures.
• Assist in field surveys and reduction of field survey data. Will require travel over uneven and sloping surfaces.
• Serve as a resident project representative on construction projects. Will require entry into excavations and manholes and climbing of ladders and scaffolding for access to work.
• Assist in pilot testing of process equipment and compilation of test results. Assist in bench‑scale studies.
• Conduct sampling of air emissions, wastewater, soil, sludge, and solid wastes in accordance with accepted protocol. May involve exposure to hazardous wastes, toxic substances, and pathogens in the environment.
• Assist in preparing quantity take‑offs for cost estimates.
• Assist with entry of engineering or financial data.

• Graduate engineer with B.S. or M.S. degree in a related field required.
• Currently holds an EIT certificate or is working toward it.
• Previous experience in engineering or construction preferred.
• Proficiency with computer‑design software AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
• Must present valid United States work authorization.
