Role SummaryGuide project teams and mentor engineers while leading design efforts. Ensure technical accuracy, drive quality, and shape project outcomes.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology.
- 6-10 years of experience in power utility design.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and line‑design software such as O‑Calc, SPIDA‑calc or DDS.
- Proficient in designing electrical distribution physical structures, routing, equipment specifications, and wiring.
- Ability to comprehend and interpret safety codes, utility standards and regulations (NESC, ACEC, IEEE).
- Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills, effective problem‑solving, and attention to detail.
- Team‑oriented with experience collaborating across disciplines.
- Clear, professional communicator capable of conveying technical information to diverse audiences.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Lead the design of distribution (600 V to 35 kV) systems using design software.
- Implement client standards and applicable design codes and specifications.
- Coordinate drawing development and CAD‑based design tasks.
- Collaborate with experienced engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing.
- Ensure quality of deliverables and support peer reviews.
- Engage with clients to clarify technical requirements and ensure alignment.
- Execute project tasks independently within scope, schedule, and budget.
- Participate in occasional site walks; less than 5 % travel.
