Position: Substitute - Educational Assistant (Classroom Support)

Location: ACE Academy (9-12 grade)

Start Date: March 2026

Description: ACE Academy is seeking a dedicated, student-centered Educational Assistant to support teachers and students in a dynamic learning environment. The Educational Assistant will work closely with classroom teachers and intervention specialists to assist with instruction, supervision, and student support throughout the school day. The assistant provides instructional, behavioral, and clerical support to students and staff in various educational settings, including classrooms, small groups, or one-on-one instruction.

This position plays a vital role in reinforcing lessons, supporting student learning, and helping to maintain a positive and productive classroom environment. All staff are expected to adhere to Academy's communication protocols, including the exclusive use of their assigned school email accounts for all professional correspondence. Staff must also utilize the Academy's preferred communication platforms when communicating with parents and guardians to ensure consistency, transparency, and documentation.

Criminal Records Check: Must comply with Ohio Revised Code 3319.39 – Criminal Records Check.

Drug Testing: Must pass a 10‑panel drug screen at time of hire and comply with the Drug Free Workplace Act of 1988.
