Adjunct, Biology

Stark State College is looking for part‑time adjuncts to teach in our Biology Department.

• Prepare and deliver day, evening, weekend, and web‑based courses in the following biology courses: anatomy and physiology (introductory and cadaver‑lab based), microbiology, medical terminology, general biology, and environmental science.
• Teach College Credit Plus and/or Dual Enrollment courses to high school students, either at a local high school or at our Downtown Canton location.
• Participate in mandatory college activities that support the department’s and the college’s missions.
• Work effectively with a wide variety of student populations.
• Prepare instructional materials and assess student performance, including electronic submission of no‑shows, early alerts, mid‑term grades, and final grades by required dates.

• Master’s degree in Biology or a directly related field.
• College‑level teaching experience at a community college and experience teaching high‑school students preferred.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team‑focused and student‑centered environment.
• Proficiency with technology, including MS Office programs and internet‑delivered materials.
• Enthusiasm for teaching and continuous professional development is highly valued.
