The LeBron James Family Foundation School of Education at the University of Akron (https://(Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). ) invites applications for a (non-tenure-track) Assistant Professor of Practice position starting in August 2026.
Required Qualifications:- Earned doctorate in Literacy Education or related field by the time of employment.
- Evidence of minimum 3 years classroom teaching experience in PK-12 setting
- Applicants must hold a structured literacy certificate and have completed a supervised practicum through an accredited program.
- Evidence of successful teaching at the post secondary level
- Experience with curriculum development
- Experience teaching literacy methods courses
- Experience literacy coaching in PreK-12 grades
- Experience with integration of emerging technology in teaching and learning
