**** Essential Functions
** The Assistant Director is responsible for managing all federal and state programs including the Federal Pell Grant, Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant, Ohio College Opportunity Grant, Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Grant, Choose Ohio First, Ohio National Guard, Ohio War Orphans Scholarship, Gear-Up, Governor's Merit, and any other specialized programs. Primary duties include awarding and disbursing of aid, reconciling expenditures monthly and annually with the Controller's Office and awarding agencies, completing reports, counseling students and families about obtaining and maintaining eligibility for aid, preparing documents for annual audits, quality assurance, and ongoing compliance with all federal, state, and agency rules and regulations, and the Return of Title IV Funds process.#

** Additional Position Information:
**** Required Qualifications
*** Requires a relevant bachelor's degree.
* Requires a minimum of four years of experience in student financial aid or closely related experience in a higher education environment.
* Knowledge of rules and regulations pertaining to financial aid processes.
* The ability to provide counseling to students and families.
* Excellent customer service skills are required.
* Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
** Preferred Qualifications
*** Knowledge and experience using financial aid software including COD, NSLDS, FSA Partner Connect and Partner Portal.
* Experience with Workday student information system.
* Experience presenting financial aid concepts and related information to group is preferred.
