Job Overview
We are seeking a full‑time Pediatric Anesthesiologist to serve as our Medical Director of the Pain Center as a .2 FTE and as .8 Anesthesiologist. This is an opportunity to be part of an innovative, transformative team in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine and help to deliver the best possible care to the children of Northeast Ohio and beyond.
The successful candidate will join a well‑established team of 20 Pediatric Anesthesiologists and 40 CRNA's as well as students, residents and fellows, to provide anesthesia and pain management services to tens of thousands of young patients each year. Akron Children’s Hospital’s anesthetic volume in 2024 was over 20,000 cases for all Pediatric Specialties, including a Level I Burn Center, Neonatal Intensive Care, a Level I Trauma Center, Acute Pain, Cardiac and non‑OR Anesthesia Service.
QualificationsRequirements:
The incumbent will be board‑eligible, or board‑certified in Pediatric Anesthesia, and will have the ability to obtain an active medical license in the state of Ohio.
