Commercial Roofing Foreman

JB Roofing, a Tecta America company, is seeking a Commercial Roofing Foreman at its Akron, OH location. The role involves working with supervisors and estimators, supervising roofing crews, training the workforce, and ensuring the completion of assigned jobs.

• Attends training meetings per management’s request.
• Performs job set-up and oversees small jobs.
• Communicates with customers and maintains good working relationships when required.
• Possesses a working knowledge of detail drawings and specifications.
• Understands warranty terms and requirements to install warranty work.
• Acquires knowledge in the basics of associated sheet metal (Drip edge, Gravel Stop, Coping, Counter flashings, Terminations).
• Completes all jobs and prepares for inspection.
• Communicates with the Project Manager regarding needs to expand scope or modify design changes.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3‑5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Clean motor vehicle record and background check. Must not be afraid of heights and must be able to position an extension ladder to access the roof for inspection/survey.
• Ability to perform assigned tasks daily through completion with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to represent the company in a professional manner, promoting the organization in a positive and productive discipline.
• Critical skills include planning & organizing, problem identification/resolution, multi‑tasking, follow‑through to bring tasks to closure in a timely manner, and a sense of urgency.
