Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio is seeking a full-time (37.5 hours) mission-minded Prospect Development Analyst. Applicants must reside in the state of Ohio.
SummaryThe Prospect Development Analyst supports Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio (PPGOH) and Planned Parenthood Advocates of Ohio (PPAO) fundraising initiatives by identifying, researching, and analyzing prospects for annual, mid, major, planned, and institutional giving cultivation and solicitation. This position reports to and receives direction from the Director of Development Operations. Successful candidates will be familiar with the Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement (APRA) skill set and statement of ethics.
A background in research, fundraising, library science or related experiences are necessary and knowledge and use of Raiser’s Edge or another CRM is preferred.
- Develops and determines research project strategy for the Individual and Institutional Giving teams.
- Identifies and profiles potential corporate, foundation, and individual donors, as well as potential board members through research. Assists with qualifying potential corporate, foundation, and/or individual donors, based on the development staff’s fundraising strategies and objectives.
- Provides research-based counsel and analysis to development officers regarding cultivation and solicitation strategy. Meets with assigned development officers regularly to review prospects and projects and/or to provide detailed briefings on prospects.
- Coordinates, organizes, and participates in monthly prospect strategy meetings with development staff members.
- Prepares briefing documents for staff and volunteer solicitors.
- Remains current and fully informed on prospect research trends and available resources in the field.
- Assists the Institutional Giving team with tracking Final date to receive applicationss, reporting requirements, and reporting due dates as needed.
- Meets and interfaces with departmental leaders from Health Services, OCSE, PPAO, Business Development, PCE, Finance, etc., to gather needed research, metrics, and statistics for grant applications and gift officers as needed.

Qualifications- Strong computer skills and demonstrated background in Internet-based research.
- 2+ years’ experience with donor databases required (Raiser’s Edge preferred).
- 2+ years’ experience with wealth screening tools (iWave or Lexis Nexis preferred).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products, including Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint.
- Ability to download and export information between systems.
- Strong aptitude for logical thinking and problem solving, particularly in relation with working with large datasets.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize work, and independently manage multiple, diverse and competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Strong project management skills and problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to work in a demanding environment.
- Ability to recall, recognize and communicate interrelated information pertaining to PPGOH and PPAO benefactors and prospects.
- Outstanding attention to detail with superior time and project management skills.
- Strong team orientation, a dedicated work ethic and a positive and professional attitude.

Bachelor's degree (B.
A.) from four-year college or university; or two or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to confidently facilitate meetings and collaborate with leaders across departments to gather information, clarify research needs, and share insights.
