Department: Industrial Market Development - utilities team that do commercial work for several different regions in US and Canada
6 direct reports - managing billions of dollars of capital per year
peers with managers across NA
all of the large users of natural gas has a sales rep assigned to them
this is the ammager of thise sales reps
farming/hunting for acounts, grow accontgs, help manage challenges, understands the sectors taht they are in (data centers, big users of natiural gas) and suggest diffent energy options for the (be a strategic partner)
attracting new large users to natural gas
data centers who are going to have bills that are in M's of dollars with Enbridge- sell them on the idea that natural gas is the best ootion
workign with agencies to help these customers do that
start from we have an idea all the way through the sales cycle
being the customers contact and hand them off to a sales rep on the team.
Key Responsibilities- provide leadership in the market strategy focused on the growth of Gas Distribution & Storage’s (GDS) Industrial segment in Ohio
- peers with managers across NA
- all of the large users of natural gas has a sales rep assigned to them- this role will manage 6 sales reps (direct reports)
- farming/hunting for accounts, grow accounts, help manage challenges, understands the sectors that they are in (data centers, big users of natural gas, etc.) and suggest different energy options for the (be a strategic partner)
- attracting new large users to natural gas
- example: data centers who are going to have bills that are in Millions of dollars with Enbridge- sell them on the idea that natural gas is the best option
- working with agencies to help these customers do that
- start from we have an idea all the way through the sales cycle
- being the customers contact and hand them off to a sales rep on the team
Skills & Qualifications
- 5- 10+ years of experience in business development, preferably in utilities or energy industry
- Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, Accounting, Engineering, Business, or related field
- Knowledge and exposure to regulators, intervenors, competitors and other players in the industry and utilities ecosystem
- steel companies, power generating companies sales reps would be a good fit if they do not have any specific energy/power related industry experience
- leadership/managerial experience: 5-10 years (most senior position in commercial at Enbridge)
- anyone who has experience working on pipelines in the area (Trans Canada, etc.)
- sales experience at this level who has worked at a large organization
interview may include creating a presentation/putting together slides to attracting to Enbridge's system, what value propisition would you bring to think strategically
2 rounds of virtual interviews (first with Nicole, 2nd with VP)
