Physiotherapist

We are an independent clinic offering chiropractic, osteopathic and massage therapy to the Durham Region community, with a special focus in concussion management, exercise rehabilitation, and neuromuscular acupuncture.

This is a potentially full-time on-site role for a Registered Physiotherapist at The Spinal Mechanics and Wellness Clinic, located in Pickering, ON.

The Physiotherapist will be responsible for:

• assessing patients
• planning treatment programs
• implementing physiotherapy treatments
• educating patients on physical health and wellness
• working alongside a Physiotherapy Assistant (PTA) to delegate active rehabilitation
• completing necessary paperwork associated to care (WSIB and MVA claims)

The role involves working closely with other healthcare professionals, specifically chiropractors, massage therapists, and osteopaths to develop and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to individual patient needs.

The clinic shares space with Crossfit Pickering which serves as a great referral source and physical space for our practitioners to have access to the gym space for active rehabilitation and small group physiotherapy if they wish.

• Licensed Physiotherapist with experience in patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
• Skills in manual therapy and exercise prescription
• Proficiency with WSIB forms is an asset
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient education and collaboration with healthcare team
• Able to work efficiently with a Physiotherapy Assistant (PTA) team to delegate care
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and individually
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
• Knowledge of health and wellness promotion
• Experience in clinical settings or specialized areas such as orthopedics, sports rehabilitation, or neurology is a plus
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy

• Physiotherapist will be working as an Independent Contractor and paid in a fee split for their services
• Physiotherapist will also be compensated for supervision of PTAs
• Further compensation discussion will be based around experience as a Physiotherapist and continuing education training
