Position: 231651 - Generic Assistant Practitioner - Integrated Rehabilitation Team

The Role

An exciting opportunity for a Band 4 Assistant Practitioner of Rehabilitation to work within the remit of the community based Integrated Rehabilitation Team in Airdrie. This post includes providing support to therapist within the community setting, visiting service users within their own home, as well as working with therapists in the Offsite bed setting. Regular supervision and support will be provided.

What

we’ll need you to bring
  • HNC in healthcare, education or social cares or SVQ III in healthcare, education or social care or equivalent experience in a health, education or social care environment.
  • Short specialist courses relevant to specific clinical area.
  • Full driving licence holder.
  • Awareness of health legislation relevant to the clinical area.
  • Knowledge of the therapeutic process, techniques and / or activities relevant to client group.
  • Basic assessment skills.
  • Ability to apply a range of technical and practical rehabilitation skills.
  • Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Time management, planning and organisational skills.
  • Working knowledge of basic information technology.
  • Ability to work individually, or as part of a team.
  • Ability to learn and develop new skills and maintain a record of learning.

Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.

It would be great if you also have
  • Short specialist courses relevant to specific clinical area.
  • Breadth of experience of therapy or rehabilitation / re-ablement in a health education or social care environment.
  • Awareness of Health legislation relevant to the clinical area.
  • Knowledge of the therapeutic process and / or activities relevant to client group.
  • Working knowledge of basic information technology.
