The Role
To assist with the provision of the pharmacy service by participating in:
- The accurate and safe assembly of medicines to be dispensed
- The accurate and safe receipt, storage, distribution and delivery of medicines
- The production, monitoring and filing of documentation
- A ward stock management service

Whatwe’ll need you to bring
- Scottish Vocational Qualification Pharmacy Services Level II or working towards or equivalent experience.
- Postholders with no previous experience will be treated in accordance with Annex 21 Arrangements for Pay and Banding of Trainees
- Initial induction period of up to 3 months, followed by a period of training and consolidation to achieve full competency within 12 months following induction.
- Capable of understanding and working within Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Commitment to CPD / Self motivation / Ability to work unsupervised
- Able to plan, prioritise and organise workload and to work under pressure
- Able to take direction, work under their own initiative and as part of a team
- Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate customer awareness/focus.
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Willingness to contribute to the general working of the pharmacy department
Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.

This role will be based in the Pharmacy department within University Hospital Monklands.
