We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Semi-Truck Driver to operate company equipment out of our Airdrie facility. You will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various locations efficiently and safely. Your role will involve adhering to all traffic laws and regulations while ensuring the timely delivery of goods. You will also be required to main accurate records of deliveries, inspecting and maintaining the vehicle, and providing excellent customer service.

• Valid commercial driver’s license (Class
  1) with a clean driving record.
• Proven 3 years’ experience as a truck driver or delivery driver in the logistics industry.
• Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and team members.
• Physical fitness and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move heavy objects.
• Familiarity with GPS devices and route optimization software.
• Flexibility to work long hours, over time as per needed.
• Reliable and responsible with a commitment to safety and professionalism.
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Forklift experience is considered an asset but can be trained internally.
• TDG is considered an asset but can be trained internally.
• Ability to drive safely in all weather conditions

• Safely operate and drive trucks or vans to transport goods and materials to designated locations.
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring that it is properly secured and protected during transit.
• Plan routes to optimize delivery efficiency and meet deadlines.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to ensure safe driving practices.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform routine maintenance tasks such as checking oil, tires, and brakes.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise.
• Provide exceptional customer service by delivering goods in a professional and courteous manner.
• Handle paperwork such as delivery receipts, invoices, and bills of lading accurately and efficiently.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and damage to goods or vehicles.
• Support warehouse and operational needs as required, including but not limited to loading/unloading, lifting and moving heavy items and general labourer duties from time to time.

• Must provide a current driver’s abstract and proof of experience
• Ability to meet company safety, insurance, and background requirements
