Position: Food Production Manager (Manufacturing Factory)

Job Description

The Food Production Manager is responsible for overseeing all food manufacturing operations within the factory. This role ensures efficient production processes, maintains product quality, enforces food safety and regulatory compliance, and manages production teams to meet production targets. The manager works closely with quality assurance, maintenance, and supply chain teams to optimize productivity and ensure continuous improvement in manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and manage daily food production activities to achieve production targets.
  • Develop and implement production schedules to ensure timely manufacturing and delivery.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure products meet company quality standards and specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and manufacturing guidelines (e.g., HACCP, GMP).
  • Supervise and lead production staff, including training, performance monitoring, and workforce planning.
  • Coordinate with Quality Assurance to ensure consistent product quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage raw material usage, inventory levels, and minimize production waste.
  • Ensure proper operation, maintenance, and safety of production machinery and equipment.
  • Analyze production data and prepare reports on productivity, efficiency, and operational performance.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure workplace safety and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Minimum Working Experience
  • Diploma or Degree in
    Food Science, Food Technology, Food Engineering, or Manufacturing Management
    , or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in food manufacturing or food processing operations.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory or managerial experience in a production or factory environment.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, or other food safety management systems is preferred.
  • Experience with production planning, factory operations, and food processing equipment is an advantage.
