Lead Consultant

A Lead Consultant at Argano is a highly experienced professional responsible for managing mid‑to‑large client engagements and contributing to the growth and development of the consulting practice. Job Summary

Lead consultants work with security, data management, crisis management, and demonstrate exceptional technology knowledge to deliver quality work that drives customer satisfaction. They excel in communication, teamwork, and have a strong background in Oracle Cloud Project Portfolio Management (PPM) and related solution implementation.

Responsibilities
  • Lead mid to large size and complex consulting projects simultaneously.
  • Use in‑depth knowledge of Oracle Cloud PPM, covering:
    • Resource Management
    • Task Management
    • Project Financials
    • Project Contract Billing
    • Time and Labor for Projects
    • Grant Management
  • Serve as industry expert with PPM business processes and best‑practice knowledge.
  • Consult with clients to provide cost‑effective solutions to business scenarios.
  • Collaborate with project team and client employees to develop, test, and implement Oracle Cloud solutions.
  • Refine and present detailed customer requirements for client approval.
  • Apply creative and innovative approaches to resolve implementation and integration obstacles.
  • Analyze current systems and data for new requirements, recommending system enhancements or modifications.
  • Develop unit test scripts and coordinate User Acceptance Testing of system enhancements or custom solutions.
  • Work with Oracle to resolve service requests.
  • Lead phases of the system lifecycle: requirements gathering, analysis, design, configuration, development, pilots, UAT, go‑live, cut‑over, and post‑production support.
  • Develop and implement long‑term client strategies.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, communicating progress, challenges, and changes to all stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand objectives, challenges, and technology needs, and provide expert technology advice.
  • Collaborate with third‑party vendors to source necessary hardware, software, or services, and negotiate contracts.
  • Offer ongoing technical support and monitor performance of implemented solutions for continuous improvement.
Education and Minimum/Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
  • Preferred: MBA, master’s degree, or PhD.
Experience
  • 5–10+ years as an Oracle functional consultant with 3+ years of PPM implementation experience.
  • Certified Oracle Cloud Project Portfolio Management Consultant with certification issued within the last two years.
  • Strong consulting and business analytical skills: gathering and documenting requirements, fit‑gap analysis, business process design, CRP management, functional configuration, and testing management.
  • Ability to lead a team, work independently, and manage multiple tasks.
  • Positive attitude under stress; senior level capable of handling client expectations independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, presentation, and communication skills.
  • High commitment to exceed performance expectations, with initiative, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Professional approach with internal and external customers.
  • Experience with full software development lifecycle: analysis, design, configuration, programming, and unit testing.
  • Ability to produce end‑user and technical documentation; facilitate knowledge transfer.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Preferred consulting experience in a professional services firm or at a strategic level in the industry.
  • Prior experience working in IT companies.
  • In‑depth knowledge of relevant technologies and systems.
