Key Responsibilities:
Work independently and with teams to manage projects in the design of once-through steam generatorsProvide technical direction and coordination of multi-discipline functions or areas within the project scope encompassing engineering, drafting, procurement, fabrication, construction, and commissioning (as applicable)Project managementParticipate in Bid / Evaluate / Award process including development of Request for Quotation (RFQ) packages, bid evaluations, and Bill of Material (BOM) entry into Enterprise Resource Planning softwareCollaborate with various engineering and drafting disciplines to achieve project objectivesManage interfaces with key project stakeholdersEnsure that the level of performance is in accordance with contract specifications, within budget limits, and that the execution of the project progresses as set down in the contract and the project schedulesManage project scope and coordinate change management submissions and processesFacilitate 3D model reviews and construction planning meetingsParticipate in Piping and Instrumentation Drawing (P&) reviews and Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOPs)Prepare and maintain line, equipment, instrumentation, P&, and specialty items listsCoordinate and assist with the sizing and selection of project instrumentation and process equipment.Maintain project schedulePrepare reports on project status and progress on a regular basisCheck vessel, structural steel, piping spooling, assembly, and civil drawings against project requirementsInteract with purchasing and expediting to follow up on buyoutsReview and approve vendor drawings and documents for accuracy in accordance with design requirements and specificationsDevelop automation documents including Control Narratives, Cause and Effect Diagrams, Critical Setpoint Lists, and SAMA diagramsAssist with resolutions of shop and field Requests for Information (RFIs)Conduct shop and field inspections and resolve Nonconformance Reports (NCRs)Respond to queries and issues pertaining to projectCoordinate and review the compilation of Project Data and Operating Manuals for distribution to the project team and clientSupport field commissioningTroubleshoot operating OTSGs in the field and conduct management of change as appropriateProvide input for continuous product developmentDevelop customer proposals including schedules and cost estimatesQualifications:
Ability to travel 10-15% of the timeBachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering from an accredited universityRegistered, or eligible for registration, with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA)5+ years of directly related experience in design of oil and gas processing equipment or heavy oil plant facilities in the Canadian contextWorking knowledge of ASME Section I, B31.1, and B31.3, CSA B149.3Experience with design, installation, and operation of Once Through Steam Generators is an assetExperience in a fabrication environment is an assetExperience with in an EPC and EPCM work environment is an assetExperience in instrumentation, oil and gas equipment sizing, and the packaging of equipment is an assetField experiences an assetPropak Systems Ltd. thanks all applicants for their interest, however only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
