Contract Position:
Instructor, University Studies (Psychology) The Opportunity
Keyano College’s University Studies department is currently seeking Contract Instructors to teach the following courses for the Winter 2026 semester (January 8 – April 28 2026):
- PSYCH 104 – Basic Psychological Processes
- PSYCH 105 – Individual & Social Behavior
- PSYCH 282 – Behavioral Modification
Note:
this is not a remote or hybrid work opportunity, you will be required to work on campus and relocate to Fort McMurray, AB.

The successful candidate will be required to:
- Primarily teach their specific courses across the curriculum
- Maintaining office hours and student mentorship/engagement
- Maintaining professional competence and knowledge of subject matter
- Minimum Master’s of Arts & Humanities or a related field. A degree is Psychology will be considered an asset.
- Minimum of 2 years cumulative post-secondary teaching experience
- Proficient with the use of learning technologies
- Excellent classroom management and instructional skills
- Demonstrated excellent communication, planning, time management, and organizational skills
- Dependable and resourceful team member with a proven track record of managing multiple competing priorities with a calm professional approach
- Commitment to inclusion and diversity
Please note that if your education was received internationally, upon hire we will require you to provide an international education assessment completed through WES, IQAS or one of the other IRCC approved designated organization.
Compensation and BenefitsPlacement on the wage grid is reflective upon educational and experiential qualifications.
