Newly Qualified Architect / Architect / Senior Architect / Senior Architectural Technician Airdrie Due to a sustained increase in workload and a pipeline of exciting new projects, our Airdrie based architectural practice is continuing to look for experienced Newly Qualified Architects, Senior Architects & Senior Technicians to join our existing talented team.
Job Title:
Newly Qualified Architect / Architect / Senior Architect / Senior Architectural Technician (3 Years min Post-Part 3/CIAT Qualified)
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage projects across commercial, residential, and mixed-use sectors from feasibility to completion.
Prepare and present design proposals, technical documentation, and reports for clients, planning authorities, and key stakeholders.
Coordinate and submit planning applications in line with Scottish planning policy and NPF4 requirements.
Produce detailed construction drawings and specifications, ensuring compliance with Scottish Building Standards and other regulations.
Oversee project programmes, budgets, and resources, including aspects of contract administration.
Liaise effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and local authorities to ensure smooth and efficient project delivery.
Contribute to the practice’s design development, quality assurance, and sustainability initiatives.
Skills and Experience:
ARB-registered Architect with a minimum of three years’ post-Part 3 experience, or an Architectural Technician / Technologist with equivalent post-qualification experience (CIAT membership preferred).
Proven experience delivering residential and commercial projects in the UK, ideally within Scotland.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch Up, and Adobe Creative Suite (or equivalent).
Excellent knowledge of Scottish planning processes, NPF4 policy, and Building Standards.
Experience managing projects through all RIBA work stages.
Experience in contract administration, BIM, and sustainable design advantageous.
Sound understanding of CDM regulations and best practice.
Excellent communication, presentation, and organisational skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small, supportive team environment.
