Events Coordinator​/Birthday Host

Store – Aiken, SC

Plan, coordinate, and facilitate in‑store events, including children’s birthday parties and craft classes, while delivering friendly customer service. Ensure fast and friendly checkout, support omnichannel processes, and maintain store recovery standards.

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once, including children’s birthday parties and craft classes.
• Engage clients of all ages to create an environment of fun and creativity.
• Demonstrate and instruct party participants in completing craft projects, face painting, and other activities.
• Implement party add‑ons such as goody bags and balloons to company standards.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members.
• Manage administrative tasks such as answering emails, making phone calls, and completing paperwork.
• Adjust plans based on client feedback and needs.
• Prepare backup or emergency plans as needed.
• Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards before and after each event.

• Assist customers in shopping, locating products, and providing solutions.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience.
• Engage customers on the benefits of the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards, completing enrollments.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Support omnichannel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POG) processes.
• Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance duties.
• Perform Store in Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
• Interact respectfully, maintain a positive image, and serve as a role model for other team members.
• Cross‑train in custom framing selling and production.
• Participate in daily store cleanliness activities, including sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and restroom maintenance.

• Experience working with children and children’s events.
• Strong written, verbal, and nonverbal communication and listening skills.
• Organizational, interpersonal, and creative problem‑solving skills.
• Retail and/or customer service experience required.

• Remain standing for long periods.
• Move throughout the store and bend, lift, carry, reach, and stretch regularly.
• Lift heavy boxes and access high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
• Work in a public retail store setting; some stock rooms may not be climate controlled; some outdoor work may be assigned.
• Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.

• Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
• Ability to move throughout the store.
• Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
• Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
