Travel RN - Med​/Surg

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg travel position requiring Cerner EMR experience and ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and CPI certifications.

Job Details

• Work in a hospital-based Med/Surg unit,

• Care for adult medical-surgical patients, including telemetry,

• Shifts are 12 hours, with a schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week,

• Use of Cerner EMR is required,

• Travelers must reside at least 100 miles from the facility,

Job Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required with no pending status,

• Minimum of 2 years of recent inpatient hospital Med/Surg experience in the US required,

• At least 6 months of telemetry experience required,

• At least 6 months of travel nursing experience required,

• Current AHA certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required,

• CPI certification from Crisis Prevention Institute's NCI with Advanced Physical Skills Training required,

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required,

• Cerner EMR experience required,

• BSN is highly desired,

• Two manager or supervisor references from within the past 12 months required, with one from the most recent employer,

• Must provide US SSN, driver's license, certifications, and required immunization records for consideration,

• Deliver age-appropriate, compassionate nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients,

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments with comprehensive documentation,

• Complete admission assessments within established time frames following facility policies,

• Demonstrate ability to interpret and address patient needs over the lifespan,

• Strict adherence to holiday, dress code, and facility-specific requirements is expected,

• No first-time travelers will be considered for this assignment,

• Local candidates within a 100-mile radius are not eligible for this position
