Job SummaryThe Nurse Educator is a registered nurse who works as an expert practitioner within a specialized field of nursing. This individual is responsible for evaluating and implementing evidence‑based practice, education, and professional development within critical care areas. They serve as a clinical resource for the Medical/Surgical units (3M, 4M, 5M) nursing staff for bedside care and focus on the development of new graduate nurses within the Medical/Surgical Departments.

- Act as a clinical resource for Medical/Surgical nursing staff on bedside care.
- Lead new graduate nurse development within the Medical/Surgical Departments.

Graduate of an accredited NLN approved RN program. Bachelor's degree in Nursing required;
Master's in Education preferred. Five (5) years of recent clinical experience in a Medical/Surgical setting. One year of educational background preferred. Current SC nursing license or compact state license; BLS, ACLS required. Excellent communication skills, organizational skills, outcome‑oriented approach, and knowledge of education methods and clinical practice.
