The Engineering Specialist will provide engineering support to the Fabrication department for day-to-day operations, ensuring the successful execution of projects and production of products in the industrial automation market.
Responsibilities- Advance diverse process improvements, including cell configuration, machine capacity, production quality, setup reduction, cycle times, and equipment downtime.
- Create and optimize CNC programs for multiple types of equipment.
- Research, procure, and install capital equipment.
- Support and advance Lean manufacturing processes and techniques.
- Coordinate capability studies with the Quality Assurance department to assure machine capability.
- Problem solve and troubleshoot within assigned areas; actively resolve process, production, and flow issues.
- Determine causes, formulate solutions, provide written summaries, and recommend permanent corrective action.
- Align manufacturing processes globally.
- Provide training and assistance to all assigned personnel.
- Obey all safety rules; stop work if unsafe and report safety concerns immediately.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by manager.
- Knowledge of manufacturing equipment and ability to troubleshoot using root cause analysis.
- Strong mechanical abilities and troubleshooting experience with root cause analysis.
- Take initiative and make quality decisions based on known policies and procedures with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Act as a leader with utmost integrity, professionalism, and a positive attitude.
- Team player; lead by example.
Introduce new ways of looking at problems, make sound decisions even with incomplete information, and have a track record of exceeding goals.
Requirements- Technical/Associates degree and 5+ years of prior manufacturing experience or 7+ years of manufacturing experience.
- CNC or Assembly experience.
- Strong organizational, communication (written and oral), interpersonal, and computer skills.
- Work may require standing, walking, stooping, bending, twisting, and/or lifting up to 50 pounds throughout a shift.
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.
- Tooling and Fixture Design Experience.
- Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement Experience.
