Electrician 1st Class (Base) – AGY

Location:

Aiken, SC

Salary: $30,000 – $40,000 per year

Full‑time position.

• Perform electrical maintenance and repair on plant equipment and related processes throughout the facility.
• Work on processes to improve efficiency.
• Complete projects with little or no supervision.
• Utilize all shop tools and equipment proficiently.
• Install, calibrate, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot plant equipment and facility infrastructure.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Five (5) years of verifiable industrial electrical experience as a 1st class electrician or a two‑year electrical technical degree and related experience.
• Successful completion of AGY’s assessment criteria, including Electrical equipment series assessment, high school diploma or equivalent.
• High school diploma/GED;
  Technical certificate preferred.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude via mechanical theory test.
• Ability to push, pull, reach, bend, squat, twist, turn, climb, work overhead, wear required PPE, and work in a hot, confined environment.
• Willingness to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and overtime.
