Position Summary

The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) at M’Aiken Bright Futures is responsible for conducting behavioral assessments, developing and overseeing individualized ABA treatment plans, supervising Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), and ensuring high-quality, ethical, and medically necessary services. The BCBA provides services primarily in the home and approved community settings and ensures compliance with BACB standards, insurance requirements, and organizational policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Clinical Assessment & Treatment Planning: Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and skill-based assessments
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
  • Establish measurable goals based on assessment data and medical necessity
  • Review data regularly to evaluate client progress and adjust treatment strategies
  • Ensure treatment plans align with authorization requirements and payer guidelines
  • Supervision & Staff Support: Provide ongoing supervision to RBTs in accordance with BACB and payer requirements
  • Model clinical procedures and provide performance-based feedback
  • Support staff training, competency development, and treatment fidelity
  • Review and approve clinical documentation completed by supervises
  • Direct & Indirect Client Services: Provide direct intervention and caregiver training as clinically indicated
  • Conduct parent training sessions and support caregiver implementation of strategies
  • Collaborate with caregivers to address barriers to progress and generalization
  • Documentation & Compliance: Complete assessments, treatment plans, progress reports, and reauthorization documents in a timely manner
  • Ensure documentation meets insurance, regulatory, and company standards
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, state regulations, and ethical guidelines
  • Report safety concerns, incidents, or ethical issues promptly
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with speech therapists, occupational therapists, educators, and other providers as appropriate
  • Participate in care coordination and team meetings as required
Required Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or related field
  • Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in good standing
  • Eligible for and able to maintain state licensure where required
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience providing BCBA-level ABA services
  • Ability to pass background and credentialing requirements
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client homes
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience providing in-home ABA services
  • Experience supervising RBTs and trainees
  • Familiarity with insurance-funded ABA services and documentation standards
