Mechanical CAD Designer, Advanced Manufacturing

Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL) invites applications for a Mechanical CAD Designer in the Advanced Manufacturing and Design Group. The role focuses on design and CAD modeling of custom equipment and tooling using 3D parametric CAD software.

• Perform design and CAD modeling of equipment and large assemblies using 3D parametric CAD software.
• Work directly with engineers to determine project scope and limitations.
• Use CAD software to create 3D models (parts and assemblies) and 2D fabrication drawings.
• Diagnose issues using a systematic, methods-based approach.
• Maintain partnerships with other functions and communicate with persuasion and authority.
• Understand how the team contributes to department goals and maintain quality standards.

• High school diploma + 2 years of relevant experience.
• US citizenship required to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

• Associate’s degree in Engineering Graphics or Industrial Design.
• Experience with Creo.
