Position SummaryThis position performs engineering work related to researching, designing, and developing products, components, or portions of major projects. The role is crucial in interpreting and calculating equations efficiently and effectively.
Key Accountabilities- Manage product design and development for new or existing products
- Specify, size, and select subsystem components for power systems designs according to Engineering Guidelines
- Select correct design concepts and fundamental technology used for new products or improvement for existing products
- Test and validate top level power systems as well as sub-level power system components
- Review and verify product performance via testing
- Assess reliability performance of product versus requirement
- Analyze proposals submitted to determine if benefit derived and possible applications justify expenditures
- Complete work according to standard engineering principles and practices
- Follow the company ERP procedures and maintenance as documented
- Follow the company quality management procedures as documented
- Promote a compliance culture and live the letter and spirit of the Rolls Royce Code of Conduct
- Perform special projects as required
- Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Bachelor’s Degree in Automotive, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering plus 5 years of experience in Automotive, Mechanical or Electrical engineering, or 9 years of experience in the same fields
- Experience with automotive, power generation, energy storage systems
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- Excellent organizational, planning and follow‑up skills
- Strong project management experience
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Proficient with PC and MS Office Suite
