Ameresco is currently seeking a
** Fuel Yard/Boiler Operator
** to join our Biomass Co-Generation plant located at the Savannah River Site outside of Aiken, SC.
** Responsibilities:
*** Responsible for daily operations including daily logs of fuel yard, boilers, and turbine generator.
* Perform housekeeping duties, basic care routes and basic preventative maintenance of power plant equipment.
* Drive a heavy equipment including, bob cat, forklift, front end loader, and Lull.
* Operate controls of a Stacker – Reclaimer.
* Operate power plant equipment in the field and in control room via DCS. Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, regulatory and jurisdictional safety standards, practices, codes.
* Ensure environmental compliance in areas assigned.
* Perform other duties as required.

* Minimum Qualifications:

*** High School diploma or GED
* Minimum 2 years’ experience with operations and troubleshooting of industrial equipment
* Must be able to obtain and maintain an entry badge to the Savannah River Site
*
* Additional Qualifications:

*** Power plant experience preferred
* Ability to successfully complete position training and testing requirements
* Basic computer skills including e-mail and data entry using Microsoft Outlook, Word, & Excel
* Valid Drivers' License issued by state of residence and in good standing
* May be required for ‘on call’ support or varied schedule needs
* Ability to lift up to 75 lbs & transport equipment & tools in excess of 300 lbs
* Ability to routinely climb ladders, walk up and down sloped ramps and work on elevated platforms
