Overview
Job Title: Accounting (Cost Accounting)
Location: Aiken, SC 29801 Pay Rate: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Employment Type: Temp to Perm
This position is based in Aiken, SC and is responsible for supporting costing and inventory-related accounting activities within a manufacturing environment. The role requires knowledge of cost accounting principles, manufacturing processes, US GAAP, and SAP best practices. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and interested in joining a stable and successful organization.
Responsibilities- Assist in the monthly close and reporting process using SAP
- Classify and report production costs including material, labor, and overhead
- Support monthly variance analysis related to production costs and departmental expenses
- Assist with execution of annual physical inventories
- Reconcile cycle count discrepancies
- Support internal and external audit activities
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Manufacturing cost accounting experience
- SAP experience strongly preferred
- Strong analytical skills
- Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and Pivot Tables
