This is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Halawa Heights, HI for a Grip and Lighting Shop Associate. The primary responsibilities include preparing, maintaining, and organizing grip and lighting equipment for rental. The role requires inspecting and troubleshooting equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring that all equipment is in proper working order. The associate will assist with inventory management, customer support, and coordinating pick‑ups and returns.
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment is also an integral part of this position. This is a great foot in the door for those trying to get into the local film industry!
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintaining grip and lighting equipment to ensure functionality.
- Knowledge or experience with video production, including working with video conferencing tools and related equipment.
- Understanding of lighting equipment and their integration in film or television production.
- Strong organizational and inventory management skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a high‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment as needed, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Experience in the film or television production industry is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or certifications in relevant fields are advantageous.
