Librarian

We are a reputable library in Al Ahmadi seeking an experienced Indian Librarian to join our team. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our collection of books and other materials, assisting patrons with finding resources, and maintaining the library’s catalog system. You will also play a key role in promoting library services and programs to the community.

• Must be an Indian national
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Librarian
• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or related field
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of cataloging systems and library software
• Proficiency in English;
  Arabic language skills are a plus
• Must be able to work without accommodation

• Manage and organize the library’s collection of books, magazines, audiovisual materials, etc.
• Assist patrons with finding resources and provide recommendations based on their needs
• Create and maintain the library’s catalog system using appropriate software
• Develop and implement programs to promote library services to the community
• Collaborate with other staff members to plan and execute events and activities for patrons
• Keep track of library inventory and order new materials as needed
• Answer questions from patrons regarding library policies, procedures, or resources
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

• Competitive salary of 1400$ per month
