Vital Core Health Strategies (VCHS), an industry leader in Correctional Health Care, is hiring a  Master's Level Behavioral Health Professional (LLCP, LCP, LMSW or equivalent) to serve at the Lenawee County Jail in Adrian, Michigan. The position is full‑time (Monday‑Friday, 8‑hour shifts).

The Behavioral Health Professional will collaborate with all disciplines on the Behavioral Health Unit to achieve effective service delivery to the inmate population.

• Perform risk assessment of inmates; coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team, including medical staff, community providers, psychiatric hospitals, and corrections; and develop discharge plans.
• Assist inmates in planning and implementing treatment goals for the duration of their stay.
• Assist in planning and implementing the goals and objectives of programs and projects.
• Prepare documentation, records, and reports.
• Demonstrate excellent and timely documentation skills. Make independent clinical decisions while utilizing assistance and supervisory intervention, as needed.
• Show commitment to positively impacting vulnerable populations in crisis.

• Licensed, Master’s Level Behavioral Health Clinician capable of administering assessments, making clinical decisions, providing mental health treatment, and holding any of the following licenses: LLCP, LCP, or equivalent.

• Graduation from a Master’s level program.
• Minimum of one year employment in a social work capacity in a public or private agency, or equivalent experience.
• Must receive a satisfactory background investigation report.
