COOK; PART TIME

Overview

We are hiring immediately for a part-time COOK position located at Methodist Hospital for Surgery, 17101 Dallas Parkway, Addison, TX 75001. Online applications accepted only.

Schedule:

Part-time; days may vary, 6:00 am to 7:30 pm. Weekdays and weekends included. Early morning or late afternoon. More details upon interview.

Pay: $17.00 to $19.00 per hour.

• Prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Serve meals or prepare for delivery using correct portioning, ensuring proper temperature, presentation and taste.
• Maintain accurate records for area worked and operate established ticket procedures during service.
• Maintain cleanliness and safe storage of food; store or discard excess food per safe handling procedures.
• Keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized; ensure proper storage of food and supplies.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Assist in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required.
• Assist in ordering and receiving of all food and supplies as required; report maintenance or safety issues to supervisor.
• Attend in-service and safety meetings; maintain positive working relationships with coworkers and customers.
• Adhere to HACCP standards and follow all company policies and procedures; maintain personal and others’ safety.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Prior batch cooking and short-order cooking experience; front-of-house experience is preferred.
• Food handler’s certification or the ability to obtain it.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including early mornings and late afternoons; ability to work both weekdays and weekends.
