Overview
- Self‑motivated individual with the ability to work independently.
- Performs full range of on‑site maintenance, diagnostics, repairs and customer call assistance on assigned products (KM MFP and printers & Non‑KM printers HP, Lexmark, etc.) as well as equipment installation/de‑installations, configuration and troubleshooting of printing and scanning networking issues on Windows/MAC OS, loading print drivers, cloning files, transferring address books and performing firmware upgrades.
- Travels locally on a daily basis to various customer sites while managing territory work volume and maintaining a high level of customer communication and satisfaction.
- Occasionally travels outside of the local area for training.
- Communicates with management regarding customer or field issues.
- Successfully completes training classes and effectively services those products, seeking assistance when necessary to meet customer demands.
- Follows proper call‑handling procedures while meeting the minimum required productivity measure by the internal program (core metrics).
- Shows measurable progress in technical abilities, troubleshooting techniques and overall productivity; uses current technology and company‑issued assets (laptops, cell phone, etc.) to access part books, service manuals, bulletins and other literature.
- Maintains accurate ASL truck inventory for the designated territory.
- Trains customers on basic printing, scanning, and copying functions.
- Accurately and timely completes weekly timesheets and expense reports.
- Provides sales support as required (e.g., advising sales on problem accounts and service leads).
- Possess electrical and mechanical aptitude.
- Be familiar with printing from common business applications.
- Have experience with Microsoft Windows peer‑to‑peer and MAC OS client‑side server environments.
- Have excellent time‑management skills and be capable of prioritizing activities and schedules to achieve effective results.
- Exhibit a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Work well with others as part of a team.
- Understand territory parts budget and inventory control.
- Have basic knowledge of Word and Excel.
- Pass a background, security and drug test.
- Use of a personal car is required; eligible for a vehicle maintenance compensation program.
- Hold reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Can lift up to 50 pounds.

- Minimum of a high‑school diploma or GED required.
- Technical school training preferred.
- 1‑2 years of experience related to technical/repair of business equipment.
- Certified on N+ or equivalent.
- Additional IT certifications or training are a plus.
