Position OverviewStaxmatic is seeking an experienced Construction Recruiter to lead sourcing strategy and pipeline development for both field and administrative roles, with a strong focus on plumbing, mechanical, skilled trades, and field-support positions.
This role serves as a strategic partner to operations and leadership—anticipating workforce needs, driving proactive outreach, and connecting qualified talent with internal teams for interview and onboarding. You will act as the engine behind Staxmatic’s talent pipeline, ensuring projects remain fully staffed and operational, without owning full-cycle recruiting responsibilities.
Compensation & Benefits- Base Salary:

- Partner closely with operations, project leadership, and hiring managers to assess staffing needs and develop recruiting strategies aligned with project timelines
- Own recruiting efforts for skilled trade and leadership roles, including foremen, superintendents, and project managers
- Build and maintain strong pipelines to support long-term workforce planning and project continuity
- Leverage multiple sourcing channels, including direct outreach, referrals, Linked In, industry networks, trade associations, and workforce partnerships
- Develop trusted relationships with subcontractor crews and external trade partners to support project capacity
- Source, vet, and onboard subcontractor groups as needed to meet fluctuating project demands
- Contribute to strategic talent initiatives such as trade school partnerships, recruiting campaigns, and employer branding efforts
- Monitor industry trends and competitive markets to proactively target high-demand talent
- Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, operations, safety, and project teams to support workforce and project goals
- Track and report recruiting performance metrics, including time-to-fill, retention, and hiring manager satisfaction
- Expand and maintain talent pipelines across multiple regional markets, including Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and surrounding areas
- Share workforce insights and market intelligence with leadership to support informed staffing decisions
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned
Required Qualifications
- 5–7 years of recruiting experience, with at least 4 years focused on construction or skilled trades (plumbing, mechanical, field labor, etc.)
- Established professional network within the mechanical or commercial construction industry
- Experience sourcing and onboarding subcontractor groups in addition to direct-hire roles
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficiency with ATS platforms and sourcing tools
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple roles and priorities simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with field leadership and hiring managers
- Highly adaptable, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset
- Experience supporting multi-state or multi-market construction operations
- Familiarity with workforce planning, retention strategies, and talent analytics
- Proven ability to influence hiring outcomes without direct authority over full-cycle recruiting
