Position: Contract Credit Analyst

SNI Companies is partnered with a growing Bank looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Credit Analyst to support commercial and real estate lending operations through comprehensive financial analysis and risk assessment. This role plays a key part in evaluating creditworthiness, supporting sound lending decisions, and strengthening overall portfolio risk management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and tax returns to assess borrower creditworthiness
  • Evaluate strengths and weaknesses of loan applicants using sound, risk-based credit analysis
  • Determine appropriate risk ratings and provide recommendations for loan approval or denial
  • Prepare clear, well-structured written credit memorandums for presentation and approval
  • Partner with lending staff to analyze, service, and monitor commercial and real estate loans
  • Assist in developing credit decisions and prepare supporting written documentation and reports
  • Provide guidance to lending teams regarding lending policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Support credit risk management initiatives, including portfolio stress testing, management reporting, board reporting, and regulatory reporting
  • Apply and uphold bank policies and procedures in all credit activities
  • Build strong internal and external relationships to ensure excellent customer service and collaboration
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and peer resource for the Credit team
Qualifications
  • Strong financial statement analysis and commercial credit experience
  • Knowledge of commercial and real estate lending practices
  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance standards within banking
  • Excellent analytical, written, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative mindset with strong attention to detail
