Overview
Join our Team as a Staff Accountant at Certain Path!
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting regulatory compliance, and ensuring the integrity of our financial reporting in a multi-entity environment. Your expertise will help drive informed decision-making and uphold the high standards of financial management that underpin our company’s growth.
Responsibilities- Reconcile cash, bank, and corporate credit card activity; support cash forecasting
- Support month-end close and preparation of financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) across multiple entities
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and income statement analysis
- Generate financial metrics and assist with reporting dashboards
- Process commissions, expense reimbursements, and payroll-related journal entries in partnership with HR
- Manage accounts payable and receivable activities, including invoice processing, payments, PO conversions, and client billing support
- Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules, including capital expenditure projects
- Assist with sales tax filings and related compliance requirements
- Participate in finance projects and provide ad hoc support to senior accounting and finance team members
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting
- 1-3+ years of progressive experience in accounting
- Working knowledge of financial statement preparation, accounts payable, payroll processing, and sales tax filings
- Solid understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles
- Experience with ERP systems, fixed assets, depreciation, and commission calculations
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, lookups)
- Familiarity with financial reporting tools, dashboards, and tax compliance requirements
- Broad, hands-on exposure in a multi-entity environment: gain experience across financial reporting, close, AP/AR, payroll, and compliance while building a strong accounting foundation

Pay and Benefits:
A compensation range of $65,000 - $75,000; plus prorated PTO, 401k Plan with company match, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance
