Accounting Manager - Consulting JN

Our client is a rapidly growing finance and accounting consulting firm supporting VC‑backed technology startups from seed through Series B. Our clients typically have 10–50 employees and rely on us as an extension of their internal finance team.

As they continue to grow, they are seeking an Accounting Manager to own accounting execution and month‑end close for a portfolio of startup clients. This is a client‑facing role ideal for someone who thrives in fast‑paced environments and enjoys working directly with founders.

• Own and execute month‑end close for multiple startup clients.
• Prepare GAAP‑compliant financial statements.
• Manage general ledger activity, journal entries, accruals and reconciliations.
• Oversee AP, AR, payroll and expense processes.
• Maintain clean, audit‑ready balance sheets.
• Support FP&A reporting and KPI tracking.
• Partner with founders to explain financial results and trends.
• Identify and implement process improvements and internal controls.
• Document and maintain accounting policies and procedures.

• 5–10+ years of accounting experience.
• Experience in startups, SaaS, advisory, or outsourced accounting.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Advanced Quick Books Online experience.
• Ability to manage multiple clients or entities simultaneously.
• Strong communication and client‑facing skills.
• CPA preferred, but not required.
