LHH is partnering with a well-established and growing organization in the DFW area to identify a skilled Senior Accountant with strong experience in fixed asset accounting. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable, collaborative, and forward-thinking finance team. A CPA is required for this role, and the ideal candidate will bring 1–5 years of hands‑on fixed asset experience, proficiency with major ERP systems, and a strong grasp of GAAP compliance.
This role will play a key part in ensuring accurate asset management and reporting across the organization.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset ledger on a monthly basis
- Track and record fixed asset acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and impairments
- Conduct periodic physical inventories and reconcile any discrepancies
- Calculate and record depreciation in compliance with GAAP and internal policies
- Regularly update depreciation schedules to ensure accuracy
- Prepare and review internal and external fixed asset reports (monthly, quarterly, annually)
- Assist in financial statement preparation and related fixed asset disclosures
- Create audit schedules and provide support for both internal and external audits
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and fixed asset accounting procedures
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities
- Collaborate with procurement, project management, and operations teams to ensure timely and accurate fixed asset tracking
- Provide training and support to other departments on fixed asset practices and policies
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- CPA is required
- 1–5 years of experience focused on fixed asset accounting
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Net Suite)
- Advanced Excel skills required (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs)
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally
- Ability to work independently and in a team‑oriented environment
