Senior Property Accountant - Addison, TX (75k-80k)
We are seeking a Senior Property Accountant to join a well‑established, growth‑focused company in the real‑estate services sector. The organization values collaboration, accuracy, and continuous improvement, and seeks a candidate with strong full‑cycle accounting experience, exceptional attention to detail, and a proactive mindset. Preferred experience includes property management or real‑estate accounting, proficiency in Real Page and Excel.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with US GAAP
- Manage month‑end close activities for assigned entities or properties
- Record, post, and reconcile journal entries in the general ledger
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and assist with cash clearing processes
- Analyze general ledger reconciliations and investigate variances
- Prepare and post adjusting journal entries as needed
- Review and interpret partner/lender agreements to ensure compliance
- Generate financial reports and compliance packages for stakeholders
- Maintain financial integrity through adherence to internal controls and accounting policies
- Partner with internal teams to support cross‑functional initiatives
- Cross‑train in other areas of the accounting department to support team flexibility
- Research and resolve discrepancies in actual vs. projected cash activity
- Contribute to process improvements and assist with ad‑hoc financial projects
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 4–7 years of full‑cycle accounting experience
- Experience with Real Page software is required
- Background in real‑estate or property management accounting is preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, functions, analysis)
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proactive, self‑motivated, and eager to improve processes and learn new skills
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities
