LHH is seeking a Senior Accountant on behalf of a growing global organization dedicated to delivering industrial and environmental solutions across a diverse set of industries. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with a strong foundation in US GAAP, multi‑entity transactional accounting, and financial close processes. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative, purpose‑driven environment and bring experience in process improvement, audit support, and operational accounting within a complex business structure.
Job Responsibilities- Manage month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close activities in accordance with US GAAP and internal policies
- Support transactional and operational accounting for assigned entities and functional areas
- Prepare, review, and document general ledger entries with proper supporting documentation
- Complete account reconciliations by gathering and analyzing data from internal systems and external sources
- Perform fluctuation analysis on general ledger accounts and interpret accounting results
- Research and respond to accounting and financial inquiries from internal stakeholders
- Provide audit support by preparing work papers and responding to internal and external audit requests
- Assist with internal control testing and documentation, including SOX‑related requirements
- Follow established accounting procedures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 6+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Solid understanding of US GAAP, financial statements, and accounting theory, including SOX compliance
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact across levels of management
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment with accuracy and urgency
- Proactive mindset with a willingness to improve processes and embrace change
