LHH is seeking a Senior Accountant on behalf of a respected and growing organization in the services and infrastructure industry. The ideal candidate will bring strong general ledger accounting experience, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to lead process improvements and mentor junior team members.
Job Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Oversee and support the integration and maintenance of lease accounting data within the accounting system
- Manage and validate key financial data, including payment details, vendor information, and other accounting records
- Perform and assist with monthly and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with internal controls and deadlines
- Review and analyze general ledger accounts, researching and resolving discrepancies as needed
- Provide detailed explanations and analyses of transactions for internal and external stakeholders
- Train and review the work of staff accountants to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Maintain compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal reporting requirements
- Identify and implement process improvements to promote efficiency, accuracy, and strong internal controls
- Support external financial by preparing analyses and gathering required documentation
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, finance, and leadership teams to resolve accounting issues and ensure consistent processes
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, and large data handling) required
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV or ERP systems preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proactive and collaborative mindset
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism when handling confidential information
- Demonstrated problem‑solving skills and the ability to analyze complex issues effectively
